Now it is Yo Yo Day
Well - so much for my ability to read a date :P
Yesterday was Donald Duck Day - today is Yo Yo Day - sorry for any mixups
DD and Tasha out on the deck this am - they look pretty comfy. I can't wait to scrap this one (and the others that are with it). It is obvious I am a scrapper if you look at my pics - think I took 20 (quick succession) - hard to pick a fav.

DS fixed up the deck so the indoor cats/dogs (mainly for little Orange-o) can play outside - without fighting with our farm tom-cat (he avoids the deck because of the dogs). It was done for one kitty, but they all benefit. However, I have to go find Orangy - one tree is close to the deck - he decided to get into the tree and go play in the yard - not the first time, but it is raining, so getting a wet cat will be a joy (not).

June 10, 2009 - Happy Yo-Yo Day!!
Sometimes I feel just like a yo-yo - running around, up and down. Going into stores, making purchases, leaving, then having to go back because you forgot to pickup your outdoor loading items (ever have one of those days!) That was yesterday.
Today - fence building and running with kids. Per requests (multiples at this point) below are just some family pics. My youngest at paper drive helping unload (orange hat). One of the two middle ones with Rupert - again at paper drive

June 1 is Dare Day
Hmm - guess I will dare myself to get some scrappy things done? ROFL
It is a beautiful Monday here - I know we have a lot to accomplish, but I am looking forward to it as kids are doing their schoolwork (we home school shorter days all year round these days) and I have some time for a second cup of coffee.
I am working on my faithbooking layout for the letter E - Entrusted to me. If you are interested, you can read more about E over at Scrapbooking Fun.biz - scroll down to the scrapping your faith section. The verse that inspired me came from a devotion starter emailed from the Faithfully Yours website - I really get quite a bit from their emails.
Well - off to scrap - right now I am working on some butterfly ATC's for Marilyn's swap over at AMR. (they are all going to be a bit different, some things the same - will post pics once I finally complete a whole atc :))
Have a great one

Sorry for large update delay

But things got a bit hectic. Oldest ds is now gone for summer at a job - The years really have flown right on by - seems only yesterday he was this little guy with a screwdriver or hammer asking if they would work to fix one of his toys. It is another stage of life - college this fall and he is off. Quite often, I am thankful that he has been prepared to be on his own, yet part of me still sometimes wishes he wasn't - oh boy - the fun of being a mom :)
Life goes on - we did a lot of running to get him ready to move out for work, got him moved and the will be back the day before classes start, ready to find an apartment when time and $$ permit, I am quite sure. I am proud of him, but it is bittersweet.
Scrapping has been going on as well. Unfortunately, one of my swap parcels took a bad direction - next time I will be using delivery confirmation so we can find it. If anyone out there was in the Just Chillin' boys paper swap - I am sorry my stuff didn't arrive, and very thankful to Melody for taking care of things for me during a very tough week.

Getting Stuff Done
Never seems to happen as I planned. However, I did finally break through a scrappy block and finish my altered items for a swap over at ScrappingFun.biz. It wasn't a great deal for me - I had made the altered paperclips - however, my paper loving cat decided that, since I hadn't put them into an envelope yet, they must be his treats. Urgh - now I have 8 left and need 10 and am out of the paper. Of course paper is from a pack, so I either buy another pack, or come up with a different idea.
A different idea won out. I went with altered bookmarks. I also created some deco square/shapes for the swap. I am happy with the results, though I really liked the little paper clips.

I did get a few things done this weekend. Also worked on challenges and am finishing up an album. Above are the front and back covers of an album I am working on as a project. If you want to see all the steps (it won't be completed until later this week), check out the NSD section at Scrapbookingfun.biz. It is the special project.

Above is a tag I am working on for an All About Summer swap. I am having trouble taking a good picture, but I like the tag.

Happy National Story Telling Day
What a wonderful day for scrappers!

Above is a picture of Charolette's Granddaughter (cow at top of my page). It is kind of cool to have three generations hanging out, though Charolette is getting pretty old these days, so we aren't sure how long she will be around. Ds took the picture - her name is Horn head (I know - gotta watch when letting kids name cows - LOL). She had an entire photo shoot. It is amazing how many pictures of animals we have.

If you remember back in January, we had our first lamb join our farm. Above is Jiggles a few days ago (all animals got their own photo shoots that day). Baby Jiggles is now almost 4 months old and has been growing very quickly. She is a cross between Rambolue and Dorper breed of sheep.
Our first purbred Jacobs lambs were born last week. They will have their pictures posted soon.

Above is a picture of an album I made for ds to put his animal pictures into as he wishes. You can see all the steps and details at Scrapbookingfun.biz - (link is above at the right) under Great Projects in the Crafty Corner section, then go to Chipboard Album.
